About Us
We are the people behind Wobbling Monk, based in Norfolk, Virginia.
We've always liked the idea of a good tavern: somewhere you can pull up a chair, hear a story, and let a conversation take its time. Wobbling Monk grew out of that same affection for good company, slow evenings, and thoughts that don't fit neatly on a bumper sticker.
The monk is a reminder to take the work seriously without taking ourselves quite so seriously. Some days we find our footing. Some days we wobble. There's room for both here.
This is our small creative workshop for everyday things with a little character: drinkware, clothing, and pieces for an unhurried corner of home. We shape the ideas and choose what belongs in the shop. Printful prints the products on demand; we're not making each item by hand in a back room.
The Monk began years ago as a pencil sketch between two old friends. Today we bring him to life with AI tools, so he's still the same Monk, just with new roads to wander.

HOW THE MONK BEGAN
A pencil sketch, years ago, long before any of this.
The first Wobbling Monk was drawn in pencil: leaning out of a bell tower, bottle in hand, sandal flying, and later riding a unicycle.
We kept the drawings. They are the root of everything here: the lantern, the road, the tavern.
Today we tell the story with new tools too, but the Monk began on paper, in a friend's hand.
